新竹市立動物園-森林食堂及野餐市集 — Restaurant in Hsinchu

👎👎👎👎👎 Disappointing. The only good thing about this restaurant is that they have seats facing the zoo and you can see the alpacas when you having your awful meal...Except this, nothing in this restaurant seems right.

*Food: I ordered the rice with beef and potato stew. The portion was too small for this price($260), such a rip-off. The meal was not even well-heated, not to mention its dull taste. The meal tasted like it had been in the fridge for ages.

*Service: When we entered the restaurant, no staff came to greet. We had no idea if we should get a table ourselves or we should wait for staff to get a table. Then, later we realized that it is a half self-service restaurant. However, the restaurant doesn't give clear instructions about the self-service part. For example, we didn't know that for meal sets, we needed to go all the way to the other side of the restaurant to a different counter for paying the bill and there was no clear sign for it. It is also very inconvenient for the customers who want to order both meal set and other stuff together. After we finally arrived at the correct counter, the lady who helped us to pay made us feel that she didn't like her job and was not in the right mood to serve. She didn't even tell us where the tableware was. Again, there was no clear sign of where to get the tableware. You needed to either ask the unhappy staff or find it by yourself. All these things made us feel lost and unwelcome.

*Payment method: They only take cash. For a restaurant like this, I can't understand why they don't accept other payment methods, especially there is no cash...

A self-service restaurant with no service fee included. Comfortable and bright environment with nice and welcoming staff. Restaurant entrance can be clearly seen following the path after you exit the zoo. There are two counter area, one for drinks and desserts, and the other to the main course which is a little inconvenient for guests. The food was great, just a bit more pricy than expected. Even though there isn’t much service involved since it's a self-serving restaurant, but still have to point out that the staffs were very friendly and nice. Overall it was a great experience,...

我們今天11：50進去森林食堂， 11：57點餐結帳， 我們點了馬鈴薯牛肉飯、帕尼尼三明治、南瓜濃湯， 12：20左右最後一項濃湯終於上桌， 我拿湯匙舀了一口， 「呃...怎麼是溫涼的」... 拿去櫃檯，管濃湯的小姐， 濃湯鍋就放櫃檯旁， 她說：「好，待會重新幫妳做一杯送過去！」

然後我回到座位上， 我的座位轉頭45度角剛好可以看到櫃檯... 過了三分鐘，我看到非常驚人的畫面.......

她 竟 然 把 剛剛那杯濃湯 倒 回 去 濃湯鍋裏面！！！ 我大傻眼😲😲😲

這是重大疏失， 所以我走過去小聲的問她：「請問妳剛剛是把我那杯倒進去嗎？」 小姐：「對，呃..妳喝過了？」 我：「是的，不然我怎麼知道是溫涼的！」 小姐：「我以為妳是拿杯子覺得冷冷的...」

然後我走回座位繼續觀察他們， 他們把那鍋拿回去廚房， 我越想越不對， 決定過去櫃檯說： 「我不要濃湯了，麻煩退我錢！」

我壓根忘記我是載具沒有發票， 櫃檯先生說：「要發票才能退錢！」 我說：「你沒有給我發票(翻出皮包所有的發票都找不到)」 他再次重複：「沒有發票不能退錢！」 我：「麻煩請你們店長出來！」

不久後來了一男一女(可能是店長或組長)， 我：「剛剛只有明細和BB...
