茹薰素食 — Restaurant in Hualien City

Fabulous made-from-scratch vegan food, with some unusual options like Taiwan-style tempura, mapo tofu, and tomato noodle soup. They also have a whole line of delicious house-made sauces. They’re also open late. I wish I lived in Hualien so I could eat here every day!

Our order:

瓜仔若飯 rice with pickled cucumber mince “meat” - sweet, juicy and tasty. Very generous portion. Enough for a light meal on its own, or for two people to share with other dishes Recommended!

素燥飯 rice with “meat” gravy - also a very big portion. Juicy and not oily, but a little on the salty side.

牛若湯 vegetarian beef soup - nice rich herbal broth, lots of veggies, and delicious mock beef made from mushrooms. Highly recommended.

番茄蔬菜湯 tomato vegetable soup - chunky fresh tomato broth and a very diverse selection of veggies and tofu. Delicious and filling. Try it with hot sauce.

麻婆豆腐燴飯 rice with Mapo tofu. Not bad, but nothing special.

滷油豆腐 braised fried tofu....

Vegan friendly family owned restaurant. They were very kind and the food was delicious and affordable. Try their green sauce! I asked if I could purchase a jar of it to take back to the states and the grandmother told me she'd make a jar for me if I could come back the next day. I came back and she gifted me the jar of sauce! I keep it frozen and enjoy a taste of Taiwan whenever I make soba noodle soup! ...

態度極差，尤其是老闆娘，跟客人爭辯一張桌子可以坐幾個人，完全沒有防疫觀念，強制要求客人移動再移動（不只一次）。 態度差到會以為你欠她多少錢的程度。 網路看到的菜單也不實，只有便當菜，配不冷不熱的溫溫的飯，等於是盒飯，90-100以上的便當的概念，而且不附湯哦😉 除了主菜，其他配菜全部都是冷的，入冬又雨天，微波食品都比較好吃，重點是出餐速度超級超級慢，不懂廚房四個人裝幾個便當為什麼要花這麼久的時間。 更感受不到所謂的辣猴頭菇到底是辣在哪 特地拍幾張照片證實一下，超特別的特餐😇

原來現在評論沒有還原現狀不夠據實，那也麻煩店家不要避重就輕的回應。

1）當天入座，桌面並沒有寫八人座或是四人座或是兩人座，何況所謂的「八人座」當下只擺了四張椅子，正常人都會認為那是一般的四人座，所以佔用店家的兩張雙人桌，是客人的不對，客人欠趕，或是更理性的客人應該要自行搬椅子，或走出去不要吃。 何況後來訂位的五人也只是進來坐一下，一個餐都沒有點就離開了。

2）另外，送餐點的那位「人員」就是我上述所謂的老闆娘，看來是不是老闆娘無從得知，但講話是無理而且大聲的，他送餐時的詢問也非常不耐煩，我只是適時回應用手拍個桌面告訴他「這裡」，然後他回應「嚇我一跳」，我才再回應「你的態度才嚇我們一跳」，並沒有所謂我隔壁的大姐被嚇到這件事。 事實上我隔壁的大姐在結帳加點的炸物時還被這位「人員」訓話，嚴厲指正「請排隊」，終於輪到大姐結帳時也左顧右盼故意怠慢處理，態度極其惡劣。

3）有附湯的餐點是蛋素（加了蛋製品的素料），當下有詢問是否只有這個附湯，男人員（老闆？）說「是」

希望這樣有釐清我在此評論的原由，是否改善不在客人的態度評價，而是店家到底要用什麼態度賺錢，何況有沒有改善，...
