Lu He Restaurant — Restaurant in Hualien City

A quaint spot at the entrance of a residential area that should be bursting at the seams with business, but sadly wasn't during my visit on a weekday night.

The staff are not pushy and very hospitable. We had a small appetite and they recommended accordingly to be portioned just right for us, not an easy thing to do. The music was a mix of 90s classics which was pleasant. The dishes were like what you can imagine if a Taiwanese mommy invited you over for a meal; homestyle and healthily seasoned.
