They have really amazing mochi. The mochi is soft, and the filling is generous. I like the brown sugar mochi and the peanut mochi. This branch is big, and you can taste some of the mochi for free. Aside from the packed mochi, they also make fresh ones that are relatively bigger. Staff is very accommodating and speaks english very well. Really large selection of Hualien goodies. I got some sweet potato chips, buttered bread crisps, peanut mochi and sesame mochi. The mochi is the reason why I come back. It's so good! Soft with just the right amount of Q and perfectly seasoned fillings. It's right across from the train station so a convenient stop for gifts to bring back to friends...
