The design and operating principle behind this eatery seems to be "elegant simplicity". That appears in every visible aspect: the business name and typography, the decor and ambiance, and - most importantly - the presentation and taste of the food. Unlike too many other eateries with encyclopedic menus of dishes of widely varying quality, here "small is beautiful" - better to do a few things with uniform excellence. The result is "home cooking" - if your home is equipped with a gourmet chef of healthy vegan Chinese cuisine. The noodles are tasty enough to eat plain, the dumplings melt in the mouth, each vegetable retains its fresh taste, and the soups and dry noodle sauces achieve the miracle of being low salt/low oil, yet insanely delicious. Menu items have photos and English descriptions, and the server speaks and understands English.
It can be considered part of the new wave of Chinese vegetarian cuisine, where traditional dishes are reformulated within contemporary concepts of health and environmental awareness.
