The Pork knuckle dish was supposedly originated in the Germany and it's popular in a few eastern European countries. When I came across this "Mr. American pork knuckle restaurant," yes American, I said to myself that I gotta try this American pork knuckle which I have not seen in the US for the past 5 decades. The restaurant interior is simple and clean like it advertises in its store front sign. It felt like a family-owned restaurant. Server is very polite and helpful. Another surprise was waiting for me on the menu. It says the pork knuckle is imported, out of all the countries that produce pork to export- from Italy. Now to the main talking point, the pork knuckle, it tasted good nonetheless, but it was different from a traditional German pork knuckle paired with suarkrauss. They served the pork with tidbits dishes of fried eggplant, cold broccoli with sesame seed, fried eggs and a small bowl of pork and turnips soup. Oh yes, there was also a bowl of rice sprinkled with a dozen sesame seeds. It really looked and tasted like a set of Japanese lunch set. There isn't any touch of American, far off from it, except there is the stars&stripes flag painted on the wall and the store front sign. I didn't take any picture of the dishes. If you're curious about this restaurant, go and venture it yourself. Maybe you'll enjoy it better. The restaurant takes cash only.
