莎莎手作創意料理 — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

from a San Francisco foodie; 莎莎 is a must visit first class dining experience! 😋

the restaurant has 2 floors, each with lovely decor & ambiance (reflecting owner's great taste beyond the cuisine)

Attended a birthday party here; had the good fortune of tasting many appetizers & entrees. I find each dish immaculately plated, often with carefully selected local produce. IMHO it is quite adventurous to enjoy familiar dishes, together with some unfamiliar components, and finding they are so perfectly integrated.

Think of earthy, cast iron, and/or wooden tableware, with well prepared ingredients, and vibrant colors & presentation. Together a culinary masterpiece; a feast for the eyes before anything goes down your pie hole ;)

Most importantly, the food is down to earth (not pretentious if you know what I mean lol) with just the right dose of creativity, yet with very authentic seasonings & flavors. As an aspiring chef myself, I was both humbled and impressed.

If you happen to chat with the owner Eric, you will find him to be an inspirational restaurateur that truly cares, pays attention to details, and a nice guy on top :)

oh did I mention the wonderful wine list? what more can a food connoisseur ask for lol
