Called to ask if they were open, when I arrived they told me they’re closed from 2:00PM for a company trip whatever that means. All 3 employees standing around chatting while insisting they could not sell me anything. Absolutely ridiculous retail training. Went with friends that discovered this restaurant / supermarket. A great selection of beef and pork including Japanese imported beef. Fresh lobster and Crab to cook upstairs. 「平凡五金行」其實一點也不平凡！這是一家進口超市與火鍋餐廳的結合體，一樓可以購物，二樓則是用餐區。這次體驗是選擇自己搭配肉品和菜盤，然後請店員幫忙料理，完全不用自己動手，超適合懶人吃火鍋！

牛肉（Beef slices）和豬肉（Pork slices）都很新鮮，搭配味噌湯底（Miso soup base）和小辣麻辣鍋底（Spicy mala hot pot base）非常對味！雖然價格偏中高，但份量足夠，用餐環境舒適、服務也不錯，還能買到日本進口食品，整體體驗非常特別。

唯一小小建議是最好早點來，熟食區很快就售完，這次沒吃到有點可惜～

Despite its name, “Ping Fan Hardware Store” (平凡五金行) is not a hardware store at all! It’s actually an imported goods supermarket with a hidden gem upstairs — a hot pot dining area! You can pick fresh ingredients like beef slices, pork, vegetables, and sashimi, and the staff will cook it for you.

We tried Miso and Spicy Mala soup bases. The beef was super tender whether grilled or cooked in the hot pot. Though it’s a bit pricey, the freshness and taste totally make it worth it.
