Walked in, ordered a large Helles, took a sip and was surprised: The beer was totally flat, no CO2. Tasted like a bottle that was opened a few days earlier. Told the barkeeper and got the answer that "this is normal for Helles". Well, in my hometown which happens to be where Helles originates from it's not normal for beer to be stale. And I've spent enough time on both sides of the tap to know how to easily remedy it; with the CO2 lever. The barkeeper didn't intend to fix it though but recommended me to drink another beer instead - which wasn't much better. A barkeeper in a brewery outlet should definitely be trained better.
