Clean, caring, and a wonderful place to destress. It’s really clear that they take good care of their animals. While some of them arrive sick or anxious, they grow to be healthy and happy with shiny coats and playful personalities. The staff are really careful and specific about telling people how to interact and play with them, whether it’s about the needs of a specific cat with a disability or about how to best entertain a cat and hold their attention. If they’re a little strict sometimes, it’s only to ensure the safety of the patrons and the cats. In terms of food, the cafe offers a variety of drinks, pastas, fried snacks, risottos, and desserts (the creme brûlée is fantastic). Despite the large number of animals, they take meticulous care to ensure the food is clean and has appropriate coverings to keep the cats safe. Not only this but then food here is fantastic. Many cafés with animals serve mediocre food, with the focus being primarily on the animals, but the food here is well made, and served with lots of cat...
Read moreWhen we reached, we were greeted by an unfriendly male staff who wear a facial mask asking for my son’s passport to show his age. When we finally went in after washing our hands and taking our shoes, we were briefed with a set of rules to follow. We sat on the floor on little thin cushions. The floor was not clean. The cats were cute but they would not come near unless you had a treat. The treat costed TWD10 at the front of the restaurant. When I went to make an order, I was greeted by the ‘lady boss’ at the cashier who sounded rather judgmental that I couldn’t speak mandarin as good as a Taiwanese or even dialect as good as a Malaysian. I did not judged her when she was speaking English. (No offense) The fried food were awful! The fried chicken tasted really bad. The pancakes were cute. The milk tea tasted like plain water. The citron tea was not good. They were unfriendly to tourists, as they were speaking to all other local customers about their cats except to us. We were labeled. This was a...
Read moreMy favourite cat café! Clean, calm ambience with lots of well cared-for cats (10 I think?), and they nail the feline theme on everything from the decor and tableware to the food presentation. All seats are at low tables with floor cushions, bringing you closer to the cats. They provide a range of cat toys and feature a vending machine with cat treats for in-house use. They also sell lots of cute cat merchandise.
I suggest going for the desserts (especially the thick pancakes with honey) and tea/coffee. The food, while reasonably tasty, is not their strong point. Vegetarian options are available. They provide an English menu if you ask, but it’s an older version of the menu and some prices have gone up since it was printed. Nevertheless, they provide wonderful customer service; I’ve gone 4 or 5 times now and always felt...
