Fish market where you pick out live seafood which is the prepared by “restaurant” prep servers in same area.
Picking out seafood was ok (from stall A18/19). However they mostly seem to have crabs and imported lobster and king crabs. Fish items seemed limited and not that great looking. Things got worse when restaurants prep your food. We couldn’t change to another server restaurant for some reason. Unfortunately everything from fried rice and vegetables were not available and we can only pick basic oil fried noodles and watery cabbage. So we didn’t get anything we wanted. Also the items they prepared were not well prepared and didn’t taste good. Price for the quality was not good and over priced. Service, seafood options and quality seemed a lot better at the fisherman’s wharf area for fresh seafood.
Also the parking lot was very dark (when the sun went down) and gates were broken. Overall the place just felt super old and creepy.
I won’t be coming here anymore nor bring any guest here. Better to get seafood in...
Read moreTouristy place Typically, you go shopping for the seafood as your meal material first at the fish market and bring the stuff to the adjacent dining area where most restaurants cook those stuff for you and charge the cooking. It's really exciting that you can see the alive creatures and pick up the beautiful ones yourself, and then hand them over and enjoy the meal. The downside, however, is that you gonna really know your stuff so that you won't get frauded as you shop. It'd be better if you're familiar with the Taiwanese type of cooking and seasoning, but the restaurants will resommend if you aren't. Things are a bit overpriced here and the sales in the fish market are really pushing. But it's a touristy place so enjoy the experience. Do bargain as hard as you can. The stands there are very tolerant to that and you'll always have another stand to buy things at. We ate 3000 NTD for our lunch as a 3...
