I’ve visited this place for at least more than 10 times since their opening, today I was very disappointed by the quality of service, it wasn’t as busy as the other Saturday nights, only 4 to 5 tables with around 12 diners, I ordered one vegetarian salad, one pasta, one pizza, one milk tea and one Ceylon black tea for two of us, the waitress didn’t ask me whether I want all dishes to be served at the same time, but I did ask two beverages to be served first, here is what happened. The first thing served was pizza (surprise!), the other male staff put it on the table and left while I was asking him why the first one wasn’t salad, he just left. The pizza is served and we didn’t get the plates for sharing the pizza, usually they would put a plate on table for each diner, I had to get them myself. Then the salad came, I can feel the amount of it has been reduced to a level I felt it is overpriced, it wasn’t like that a few months ago, maybe it’s because the global inflation? Then I had to remind the waitress to let me have my beverages (I specifically asked her to serve the beverages first), she then went to the bar and served them. The Ceylon black tea she served turned out to be earl grey (Twinings)… Eventually I finished the salad first and pizza was cold, certainly not as good as while it’s hot.
Overall, the food was good, but not to the level that they can serve it in an unorganized way, with its pricing I would expect a certain...
Read moreI'll try to be objective in this comment, and I do hope the owner will take this feedback to improve. Positive points: The pizzas are amongst the best in Taiwan. The dough is chewy, like it is supposed to be, because they use proper semola flour. You can feel the freshness of the ingredients.
Points to improve: _ The dough is a little too flat and needs more work (more air) when preparing it. _ The staff MUST be trained better since we need to pay 10% service fee. We had to wait 10min before somebody came to take our order (the restaurant was empty around 14:30) and it was the cook who noticed, not the staff...At some point, the staff started cleaning the floor with a broom when we were eating... _ Do not accept to be seated in the table for 2 because all the cold air will blow on your head. The staff said they would adjust the temperature, but did not do it. They eventually let us move to another table. Another customer was then seated at that table and also complained about the temperature, but there was no réaction from the staff again.
I'm willing to update the stars IF I see that the owner improved the...
Read moreSimply the best pizza I ate in Taiwan. And I tried many. I’m a pizza lover, from Europe so I am talking about Domino’s or Pizza Hut style of mediocre american pizzas.
The ingredients, the dought, the cold cut platter, everything is pretty authentic and tastes good.
Downside ? Pizzas are expensive in Taiwan… especially given their sizes. I wish they would learn how to produce good quality ham and cheese themselves not to rely on those greedy importers. I wish pizzas were a more commonly consumed meal to avoid the kind of hype they can sometimes use to sell this simple yet delicious staple food.
Get your prices down a little and I would become a regular customer.
I personally need 2 pizzas to feel full, and I am a slim guy in his 30’s.
Taste ? Again, amazing.
Bonus ? Italian...
