Gyukatsu motomura — Restaurant in New Taipei

Be prepared to wait because the line never dies down. This new joint serves Japanese “fried steak” and it’s probably one of the best in the area. We waited for about an hour. There were really just 2 options: small or large. Small gets you 130g of fried steak while a large gets you 260g. The price was reasonable in my opinion. You get a bento set with soup, rice, salads, and some sides. The steak has been pre-fried so you can actually eat it as is if you like rare steak or you can grill them real quick. The steak was really tender and juicy in my opinion and I think for the price it’s as good as it gets. This is really just a restaurant in the food court so don’t expect no 5 star service and you’ll have to physically wait in line for a table. It's a great place to try Japanese gyukatsu. The service was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place itself looks clean and in compliance with health standards. The food itself was delicious and very complete. The only disappointing thing was the fact that their menu is a lot smaller than their branches in Japan. They only have a small and a medium size portion available. The price is also reasonable and not overpriced at all....

Very unique and tasty way to enjoy steak! The beef is well marbled and melts in your mouth. Cooking by yourself at the table makes it even more special (but if you like everything done for you, this will not be the place).
