KURA SUSHI Mitsui Linkou Branch — Restaurant in New Taipei

Don’t stop, walk away and save your time bc time is valuable to us. To be transparent I barely ever write reviews but in this case I just couldn’t let it go due to the response from staff. We used the online app platform to draw a waiting number. At the time it was still 30 numbers away from ours. After about 50 to 60 minutes we made our way down to the restaurant as we walked around the outlet to kill time since you are able to track your waiting number via the app. When we arrived the checkin clerk informed us they had called our number 3 times within 6 mins and since we weren’t present we now are at a loss and have to wait until all those waiting are seated and If they reopen the number system for customers to get a waiting number. In Taiwan almost all restaurants give customers at least 10 mins before they cancel your seating. Basically they couldn’t tell us if we’d even have an opportunity to dine at the restaurant. Long story short, we kept refreshing the app during our wait, went down before our number was shown in the app only to be told our number had passed. Store manager says the app is not accurate and there is indeed a lag. But in the end it’s the customers fault. They did not care about the customer nor wanted to take care of us to ensure we would be able to dine. Really disappointed in the customer service this Japanese restaurant has shown with their poor SOP standards. Waste of time and will never recommend to friends and family. Everything sucks here.

Ordered some fries, portion was so small we asked about it, they said it was their under their regulation size….. I’m not expecting buffet style portion but can’t be half the size of a Mac Donald’s small fries!!

We were given the option of keeping the fries ( the same one they took away and measured ) or a return…. We decided to return it but when we went paid the fries was magically still on the bill…. After 30 plates plus some steam egg and udon noodles, hate to see an establishment like this pulling off some shady business practice!!!!

We use to eat at this franchise all the time but after this meal…. NO MORE!!

This is a fun conveyor belt sushi place. The restaurant is clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The sushi is fresh and most of the plates are 40ntd each. There are a lot items that you can choose from on the conveyer belt that comes by or you can also order from a touch screen at your table. The menu is available in English and the items you order separately come to your table on a second conveyor belt above the main one. There are different desserts available and to drink there is water, juice or beer. There is also an interesting anime toy machine that you have a chance to win a prize from after every 5th plate.
