Lotus Thai eateries — Restaurant in New Taipei

It's a bit on the expensive side just like all foreign cuisine in Taiwan, but it's worth trying out.

The place and the food gave me a feeling of "home" haha, it tastes just like how I would cook at home. But the thing is nothing really stood out for me in the taste sector, which would make me want to go back again.

I had a pork pad Thai, fried prawns and a Thai milk tea. The pad Thai portion is soso for the price, and there is enough pork for each bite of the noodles. I don't know if they used tamarind sauce since I didn't get any taste from it.

The prawns were perfectly fried, no complaints with that. It's fairly priced too.

The milk tea is a bit expensive but hey! If you go to try Thai food you need to taste their milk tea hahaha

一家很道地的泰式餐廳，聽說以前是從小餐車慢慢開成一家店。裡面的員工清一色都是泰國人，餐點上也很泰，跟在泰國吃到的真的很像。 推薦：趴胎、泰奶。 紅咖哩是用花生下去調的，所以吃起來幾乎不太會辣，能吃到花生的香氣。聽說綠咖哩是蔬菜跟薑去做，基底依樣只是調色起來不一樣。 趴胎跟在當地吃到的很像，河粉很Q彈，味道上也是酸酸甜甜的。小不一樣的地方是：豆芽菜是熟的，然後沒有提供糖(聽說好像是要自己額外跟店員拿)。 泰奶蠻大一杯的，喝起來很爽。味道上面偏奶，茶香味比較淡一點，但是已經很不錯了。冰退一點比較不會這麼甜。 月亮蝦餅因為不是泰國的，所以吃起來就比較還好。是先切片再拿去炸，裡面的蝦泥可以看到有小蝦子。 是一家想吃泰式料理到會再回訪的店家。 It is a really local Thai restaurant and really like what I have eaten in Thailand. The red curry is made from peanuts; thus, it is not spicy and allows you to taste the flavor of peanuts. I heard that the green curry has the same base but adds vegetables and ginger to it. The Pad Thai is very similar to what I have eaten in Thailand, with a bouncy texture and a sweet and sour flavor. There are two differences: the bean sprouts are cooked, and it does not come with sugar (or you should ask the waiter for it). The Thai milk tea is quite a big cup, and it tastes very comfortable. The taste is milky, and the tea fragrance is a little lighter, but it is already very good. It will not be so sweet if it is cooled down a little. The shrimp pancake is ordinary because it is not made from Thailand, and you can barely taste the shrimp in the filling. It is a great restaurant that I will return to when I want to eat...

The food was really good. However, I ordered a papaya salad and it was so unbearably spicy, I don't know how anyone could ever eat that. I told them and they just said "next time tell me no spicy". Well I like spicy and nothing else was spicy but that was just insane. My boyfriend was literally crying from the spice. We had to leave it uneaten.
