We got the Taiwan raddish pastry 蘿蔔絲餅, fried bread stick (you tiao )油條,xiao long bao 小籠包, Cantonese radish cake with egg 港式蘿蔔糕加蛋, iced charcoal soy milk 冰炭香豆漿, pork Patties pastry 豬肉餡餅、Chinese chive pickets 韭菜盒子. Spent total $405 NT . **the soy milk has a burnt taste , if you like that style , then you will like it . To me it is like drinking something that accidentally burnt it , would have complained until my sister says this is deliberate 🤨 . **The portions are smaller then other establishments and little more expensive. ** the fried bread stick is suppose to be crunchy and airy , it’s hard and stale like it was from night before and they just refried it which is disappointing since that’s the highlight of soy milk plus fried bread stick . ** the pork pasties are so small not like the picture , looks like 2 pan fried xiao long bao ** the chive pocket flavor is good , they have lots of chives in it and the dried shrimp flavor is strong . Service is mostly self service which a lot of the Taiwan’s establishment is like .

XLB was yummy but not as juicy. Perfectly sized. Salt and Pepper Rice Ball with Green Onion Egg was not my favorite. The fried you tiao wrapped in the rice was not crunchy and rather stale. The soymilk charcoal was smoky and delicious. As a side note to drivers-Parking was a nightmare. On the road itself were parking restrictions, which we would’ve missed even if we read chinese. Read moreI consider myself a connoisseur of traditional breakfast, soybean milk type to be specific. And In my opinion, this is the best traditional breakfast restaurant in the world. I am not exaggerating. Don’t get me wrong, I have had plenty of good soybean milk and rice balls elsewhere, but this place takes it up a notch in every aspect. It’s kind of the “Din Tai Fung” of traditional breakfast stores. Be adventurous, literally everything I have had there is delicious.
