The Hammer — Restaurant in New Taipei

Settled here on the last night of our trip to Taiwan. The name was an instant hit with us and the other reviewers gave it an overwhelmingly positive score. We had to try it ourselves. Not disappointed at all. It was a bit busy but it was a Friday night so can't hold that against them. The staff were friendly and beyond reasonable.

I was kind of at a loss for how many beers were on offer (really good thing) and the food was just as amazing. We'd like to come back again sometime but being in a different country makes that a bit harder to do. The Chili Con Carne and the Snept Burger were delicious by the way!

Would've liked to stay longer and make better conversation with the owners but we had a red-eye flight to catch. Otherwise, top-notch place to get some good homey...

The owners are a fabulous couple who are very friendly and welcoming. It's a nice experience to be able to eat one of the more authentically made western dishes in Taiwan and with bilingual service to boot. Their beer selection is very approachable with options that can cater to different preferences and tastes. While the price is a touch expensive the food definitely still over delivers the mark in flavor. Overall a fantastic experience I'd love to...
