Starbucks Yingge — Restaurant in New Taipei

Global franchise means you can get consistent qualify of coffee and food. I do like the ambiences when the local arts meets western culture. Like any other "specialized with local building" Starbucks, you can expect huge crowd and endless line if you try to spot a seat and have a sip of the consistently old flavor of your Starbucks latte. This Starbucks was renovated from an old building in residence area. The designer kept lots of Taiwanese 90's architectural elements such as terrazzo flooring, wooden crafts and windows with vintage floral patterns that used to be quite common back in the old days. The nostalgic vibe of this modern coffee shop did a good job blending with the austere Yingge town...

星巴克鶯歌門市位於鶯歌老街的西北角，亦即育英街與重慶街的交叉口。整個外型古色古香，甚有特色，一進入屋內，就深深感到歲月、文化、工匠的融合與淬煉。

老屋內保留了許多舊日時光的元件，無論是菱形窗格、窗框、磨石子地磚都在在顯現了在地老味道；門市內一樓與二樓都有展現鶯歌當地特色的陶藝裝飾，十分吸睛；老街人潮洶湧，但店員的服務熱忱也是很澎湃，令人滿意。坐在裡面，悠閒度過短暫的午後時光，愜意又自在。

一樓主要的就是迎賓櫃檯、周邊商品陳列與少許客席。主要的客席都在二樓，順著魔石子樓梯到了樓上，頓覺眼前豁然開朗，場地非常寬闊。但由於本店位於鶯歌老街，所以到了週末假日的尖峰時段也很快客滿，此時店員服務的動作也會變得比較慢，此點無可厚非。因此若要來本店貪享美好又安靜的老街風情咖啡時光，必須注意避開熱門時段。

順便在此說明，北臨大漢溪，南接縱貫線鐵路的鶯歌老街，基本上只有四條馬路，整個街廓呈現出往右旋轉 90 度且加上底線的 Ａ 字形。所以是兩橫兩豎的型態。Ａ的左筆畫（位於北邊）就是重慶街，右筆畫（位於南邊）則是尖山埔路。至於位於中間的則是陶瓷街，Ａ字形的底線也就是位於最西邊的則是育英街。
