ahmicafé — Restaurant in Shilin District

I heard of the news that the famous Ambassador Hotel was about to be demolished by the end of April 2022. So, when I finished a doctor’s visit at nearby MacKay Hospital, we decided to visit this Hotel for the last time before that happened. We chose the Ahmicafe for their renowned Beef Noddles and ordered two different flavors. The Signature Beef Noodles and Tomato Flavor Beef Noodles. The needles were pretty chewy, and the beef was soft and tender. However, the beef portions were tiny. Apparently, for over $450, we agreed that they were not worth the price by $100. Of course, we quickly comforted ourselves by the before tropical gardening and waterfalls, which tremendously added value. I guess we won’t be missing this place too much...

Had visited this place a few years ago and created some great memories with family here. This time I returned with high expectations for the food quality and relaxing atmosphere. The environment has not changed and the servers were exceptional. Food on the other hand was unpalatable. Both my dad and I questioned how long the lamb and steak had been in the freezer. My lamb chop tasted like they were defrosted and frozen repeatedly... the texture was...

It has been 55 years since i visited this restaurant the first time. I am a vegetarian, and their salad is very good. The things that attract me to come here are, their food quality, good service, indigenous decorations, and spacious room. I will keep coming here, and recommend this...
