Katsumasa SOGO Tianmu — Restaurant in Shilin District

It was delicious as always however inconsistency on their customer service, due to customer service I rated 2.5 stars for our experience; we were made to wait when there are at least 3-4 tables free only because they can not seat 2 people on the 4 seated table, it would be fair if they were reserved or during peak hour.. however when asked the reception advised its their policy and we have to wait (felt pretty ridiculous that we were the only two waiting outside a half emptied restaurant). Thankfully we were seated within 20mins; those 4 seated tables were empty throughout our dining. Ordering, we had to ask two seperate staff to come and take our order, once the order is placed, another guy came to setup our table and attempt to explain how the sauce works, however he spoke so fast and rude, we could not understand a single words coming out of his mouth.. the service improved as the meal starting to arrive (different waitress ) but it wasn’t a pleasant experience from the beginning.. I will most likely to go other branch next...

08/19/2024 They are training new cooks There are a few times that they served dried grilled pork chop. The first time I just ate it. This time I sent the pork chop back.

Medium priced fried pork chop This is a good restaurant but sometimes you will get inconsistent quality of food during peak times. When they don’t rush cooking the meat is a 8.5/10 food quality. However, when they rush the cook, it is dry and ranks about 5/10. Over the past year, they have improved their training and the service attitude and efficiency has gotten much better. The salad, soup and rice are refillable.
