My family and I enjoyed a brief dine-in at this Cama. We were there mainly for the coffee but thought we should get some of their meals and dessert. Once again, we ordered light-roasted black coffee, and they were all tasty. Then, it's the food. I know it's not their specialty, but I was pleasantly surprised. We love trying out their risotto. (Somehow, neither my wife nor I can pass a risotto when we see one.) We enjoyed the seafood a bit more between the two risotto dishes they offered, but we liked them both. My daughter ordered fried squid, fries, and Scotch egg, and she seemed to like them. We also enjoyed the cheesecake, but because we weren't that hungry when we first got there and got pretty full after all the food, we ended up losing the mood of eating dessert. Overall, the experience at Cama Yangmingshan was great. The historical settings, the bamboo, the casual seating, and the services made a good impression on a visitor like me. Now that we're back from the Taiwan trip, stopping by Cama was a...
Read more1st time here, thought it was like the other Cama places for coffee...when arrived, walked right into the store and a waitress mentioned that if we had made reservations, so I didn't and it was a Monday so luckily I had seating after a couple of minutes.
Once seated the waitress mentioned that there was a minimum of $250/person (my 1st thought is that its a coffee place, wasn't expecting that) Looking at the menu, they have many foods besides only coffee such as salads, pizzas, steak...I have already had lunch so only just wanted some coffee and have a relaxing short stay. So I ordered a Coffee Latte Hat (taste was just normal) and cakes (not too many selections).
Overall coffee and cake experience, it was a standard place with higher expected price compared to other Camas but I guess its the building structure that makes it attractive. There are many other coffee shops around those areas such as Starbucks, Yannick (lovely cakes) with a much...
Read moreMy friends and I made a reservation at 14:15 but we were late for about 20 minutes. The staff are friendly and kept the table for us until we arrived. The food and drinks are okay and the great part of this restaurant is about its scenery views and building design. Would love to go back again to enjoy the nice ambiance. Only two downsides for the restaurant: the time limit is 90 mins, which is too short and stressful for a restaurant to enjoy the views. The food service needs to be improved as it is way too slow and is unresponsive to customers’ needs.
Additionally, my family appreciated the ambiance. However, the time constraint remains a concern. Despite my second visit, the service speed was still slow, and we were informed of the time limit only an hour into our meal (waiting around 30 mins). The coffee is excellent; typically, I experience palpitations with caffeine, but I don't encounter any issues with the handmade...
