Chili's Grill & Bar美式休閒餐廳 - 天母店 — Restaurant in Shilin District

If you are looking for American food in Taiwan and are hesitant to go to Chili's because in America it is the grossest place on earth, don't let that stop you! This place is SO good! It is clean and nicely/ newly decorated (unlike the dumps in the US) the service is incredible (obviously, it is Taiwan after all.) Most importantly the food is AMAZING! I am not a big Asian food eater so I literally went here twice a day for two weeks! It is SO good! The chicken nachos are absolutely incredible! I could not stop eating them! (In America they slap on some gross refried beans and chicken and burnt cheese) but in Taiwan they have this amazing sauce and perfectly smother each chip with cheese. The sandwiches are amazing, like a delicious fancy deli sandwich. Tonight for dinner I ordered on Uber from your new Chilis in Tianmu Takashimaya. I ordered the Quesadilla Explosion salad with chicken. It was horrible. The chicken was not grilled, it was literally still a bit frozen on the inside. It tasted like defrosted chicken. The chicken was white and bland with a sprinkle of spices. It was not freshly made. The cheese inside the quesadilla was semi hard and chewy. It did not taste fresh AT ALL. Was maybe a leftover quesadilla from earlier in the day. The worst was the maybe heaped TEASPOON of pico de gallo on my salad. Not again. I always order from the other Chilis on UBER and their food is way fresher and their portions are way more reasonable. I visited this restaurant once again this evening (Friday) at 8.30pm only to be told that the restaurant was closing and they needed to sanitise the establishment. This came from the manager (?) who was standing at the door. This is a Weekend evening by the way.

Now either this restaurant has serious hygiene issues or the manager is lying. There were heavy rains in Taiwan today.

Surely it is time to come clean. Either the restaurant is unhygienic or the staff are using hygiene matters to close early. They have their "annual" sanitation every few weeks.

If it's the former, the health authorities in Taiwan need informing OR your staff are grossly incompetent and raising health concerns when none exist. This is a serious matter!
