Miacucina Tianmu — Restaurant in Shilin District

This place definitely has a consistency issue. The first time I was here it was a great experience overall. I wish I could say that again about my meal today. I made the trip all the way out there to have the 5 course meal again. The soup was cold. They didn't have the ingredients for the corn salad-no avocado, no tortilla chips, no salad dressing- but threw something together & expected it to pass as the corn salad. It seemed as if they just substituted the dressing from the Thai salad instead of using the nice rich & creamy dressing that was served with it before. They also threw potato chips on top to replace the tortilla chips. Really?!?! Potato chips in a salad!?! Even McDonald's has enough sense to leave potato chips out of salad. Why does it seem acceptable to taiwanese people that restaurants do this? If u do this back home ur place would go out of business. When u run out of ingredients for a menu item then don't serve it! That's just common sense. There was hardly any corn on the corn salad & it wasn't grilled as stated on the menu. The mushroom pasta was also much worse this time. The oil was clearly too hot so the whole dish tasted like burnt garlic plus it was bland. I don't think they used any salt when making this dish. The dessert also seemed less refined this time as well. A place that tries to deceive it's customers, uses trashy ingredients & has chefs who lack cooking skills shouldn't be charging as much as they do for food. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time & I'm obviously not...

I would say 3.5 star would be more accurate. Good location, atmosphere and decor. The staff is fast to notice you. The food i cannot say the same to... the food is not too bad but my pasta tasted too burnt. The garlic should have been slightly cripsy and slightly burnt if anything but the garlic was clean. The oil was what tasted burnt. My kiwi strawberry juice tasted good but was not cold at all. The portion is huge. I would come with a friend and share a dish. It's better place for a group than one or two people. Service was very slow even though I came at 2:20 pm i got my drink at 2:55, food little past 3. I had higher expectations since it's not the cheapest place but food turned out to be just a so-so. My drink and pasta ended up to be 600 NT. update after paying they asked me if it was ok and i said meh. Then she merely said thanks for coming. I don't expect anything like compensation but if you are asking i thought they would at least aknowledge what you've put out...

I gave them four stars at other locations but the dining experience at this location was just so disappointing compared to their other locations.

The service was slow despite only few customers present. The layout of this location and the menu is designed to accommodate large party sizes so it’s a pretty ideal location for gatherings. But I would recommend their other locations if you want to try their food. It’s harder to order from this menu, because the pasta selection is a lot smaller and only comes in a large size.

We ordered grilled corn, staff told us that the sauce for that dish was not available. We expected some kind of alternative seasoning for the corn. But what they served was two naked very sad looking corn on the cobs :( There were no grill marks, nor dressing, sauce, or any kind of seasoning. And the sad part was the corn itself...
