IG: foodie_foxx As a self-proclaimed food aficionado, I have had the opportunity to indulge in countless meals at some of the most exclusive and luxurious hotels around the world. And while it is not uncommon for high-end hotels to fall short in the culinary department, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Silks Palace, located within the grand National Palace Museum, offers a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.
From the moment you step into Silks Palace, you are greeted with an array of Italian-style breads, cheeses, butter, and other delectable condiments that are sure to tantalize the taste buds. The offerings continue with a diverse selection of fresh seafood salads, expertly prepared meats, and classic pasta dishes that are sure to delight even the most discerning of palates.
But what truly sets Silks Palace apart is their exceptional steak, which ranges in price from 1600-4000 NTD. The meat is undeniably fresh and cooked to absolute perfection, with each bite revealing an exquisite delicacy that will linger on your tongue long after the meal has ended.
And let's not forget about dessert, where Silks Palace truly shines. The Hagen-Dazs station features an impressive twelve varieties of ice cream, each one more delicious than the last. From rich chocolate and velvety vanilla, to tangy fruit sorbets and indulgent caramel swirls, there is something for every sweet tooth at Silks Palace.
Despite the high-end setting and the impressive selection of dishes, Silks Palace remains an approachable dining experience that caters to a wide range of palates. In short, Silks Palace is a true gem among high-end hotel dining options. From the expertly prepared dishes to the decadent desserts, every aspect of the meal is crafted with care and precision. So if you're in search of a truly exceptional dining experience, look no further than Silks Palace.

Read moreBad service and lack of EQ for a restaurant operator, especially at such location, where you could expect a lot of tourists. I don’t think this is the right kind of representation for Taiwan which is well known to have good service and hospitality attitude.
Expect to eat hastily like at a fast food chain. This can only be your casual restaurant to have a HASTY meal (food is good in honest opinion) But all 6 of us who dined there agreed their service was terrible.
when we booked and they called to confirm , they didn’t inform us there was a limited dining time. We were caught off guard when we got there , knowing we had to quickly order quickly eat and get out asap
Very rigid and inflexible. When we booked we already told them it was for a birthday celebration. When we got there, we asked again if they have cakes or any of such , coz the birthday is tomorrow. They said UNLESS your actual birthday is the day itself otherwise nothing (LOW EQ) And asked us to buy a mini 壽桃 on our own Then we asked how about providing candles and they said not avail too. I think the way of rejecting or saying not avail could have been better. Not being able to counter offer anything NOR being apologetic to fulfil a birthday request, to make things worse they kept hurrying us to ensure we leave on time. If your timing is so strict and rigid you should have told your customers upon booking and not making your diners feel like they are rushing thru the meal. At the end of the day I’d say it’s their service attitude below par and making the whole experience very unpleasant. Not a place I’ll visit again coz however nice the food is, if you have to speed thru it and accept their service attitude , IMHO there are other...
It’s always a pity when a restaurant makes a mistake, refuses to be accountable for it, and then tries to screw over the customer. Such was the case at Silks Palace, which pretends to be a high-end establishment. On a recent visit to the palace, art museum,, I ordered the steamed scallop dumpling soup and Double flavored ying yang beef noodle soup. After waiting about 20 minutes, the beef noodle soup arrived. I pointed out to the waiter that I had not received the dumpling soup as the starter and that I wish to cancel the order. A minute later, an officious waiter rushed over to tell me that I could not cancel the soup because the kitchen had already prepared it (really?). She then asked if I wanted it for takeout.(really?). Her tone was rude. I asked to speak to the manager. Five minutes later he came over and said that the soup had been removed from my bill. Silks Palace needs to train its servers better so customers avoid these awkward interactions. By the way, the ying yang soup...
