Don’t eat here unless you’re starving. I ordered a hot caramel milk tea and pork burger from here, and the milk tea was not good at all. I asked if they could make another drink (i even said equal or lesser value was fine) but 3 different people told me there was nothing they could do. We also spoke to the museum info desk who suggested we speak to the cafe manager as they are a separate entity, which was understandable. I requested a manager (but only ended up speaking to the cashier), which we tried to explain to her in both english and chinese that we just wanted a different drink. She ended up giving us a difficult time and questioning our taste on the drink. By the end of the convo we asked for an orange juice to go in substitute, which they did (lost some money from the coat difference but we were annoyed the situation).

Final thoughts: poor customer service, poor food quality and options. Definitely catering to foreigners who they think...

不难吃但也不算好吃。

Ordered the Sicily coffee and the gong bao chicken set meal. The set meal comes with rice, chicken, and side dishes. The best thing in that set was the rice and side dishes. The meal looks and tastes like airplane food. It’s one of those meals you have because there is nothing else in the area available for a quick meal. In fact it tastes like something that’s frozen and just microwaved out of the bag.

The coffee was not bad if you want a quick pick me up.

The set meal costs 280 yuan which is quite a ripoff for that quality of food.

Will not recommend.

FYI. This is the cafe on the ground floor of the museum next to the cloak room. There is a way nicer and fancier restaurant upstairs inside, after you pass...

What a pity that the Cafe in the National Palace Museum is pretty disappointing. The Golden Tea iced is from Lipton, the Gong Bao Chicken mediocre and the cappuccino not tasty. Prices for this low quality high. The only thing on the menu we liked was surprisingly the chocolate cake. The he cafe is mound and canteen style which is probably due to the many guests the have to serve. Staff...

A cafe inside the gugong, modern concept of the meals, we ordered chocolate ice, and yuzu ice, the taste was nice; tomato ribs rice also decent and flavourful, add on the thousands layers cake, not so sweet and refreshing by the whipped cream. Can paya visiy if have a tour in the gugong. That’s so lucky that we arrived here with the world travel day, entrance fee was free of charge.

This cafe is at National Palace Museum building, located at level 1, just outside the entry into the museum. The prices are very expensive for simple tea or coffee and cakes, which are very average food. As many people including myself, want to have a tea break after viewing the exhibition in the museum, this cafe is usually quite crowded with long quece.
