KURA SUSHI Taichung Fuke Rd. Branch — Restaurant in Taichung

For an expensive place they use appallingly cheap chopsticks. They aren't made properly, so they splinter badly. Both pairs I tried did this, so I just used the second bad pair.

Good meal but extremely noisy and somehow lacking the atmosphere of the other Kura Sushi branches I've been to (Ikebukuro in Tokyo - 5 star, and Sogo in Taichung - 4 star). I think it's mostly the building design which seems to lack sound damping fixtures. Staff and customer voices are harsher here and bounce off the hard surfaces more than elsewhere. Staff were also a little unsure of themselves, which dampened the level of welcome, but I'm sure they'll get better. I suspect this one only opened very recently.

Two out of four cups were not perfectly clean. So there was that too. Minor things, but not what I expect from this high...

Quite good sushi. Not the most variety, but it was tasty. There were some moments when it was a long time waiting for even one roll to come out, but I went during on a Tuesday 11:30am - 12:30pm. I will say, the soft serve ice cream is fantastic (I got it twice 🫣)!!

I would assume due to this having a parking lot, it’s more family friendly. However the families who came seemed to have the loudest and hungriest babies haha. Obviously, KURA cannot do anything about that and I’m sure the parents just want a nice meal out...

Fun and delicious. You can play lucky draw every five dishes, and if you are lucky you get a tiny toy from the machine, there’s an animated video to show you if you win or lose . Those toys are cute and the restaurant change the theme of the toys from time to time.
