After reading the AI generated response from the responsible person, now I understand the problem comes from the management not the employees. I say AI generated response because the same response has been given to everybody else with minor customization!
Very disappointed. Second visit. The place is open and pleasant. Service is terrible. Good-looking front desk girl with robotic expression accompanied by unintelligent cashier. Two of us entering almost an empty place. When we approach the cashier to place the order the man is asking us where we are sitting. Obviously, they were only few seats and we were sitting right in front of the cashier area where we were being watched by the two of them the whole time. Yet he is still asking us where we are sitting.
It's only two of us and we almost ordered more than 1, 000 nt$ of food and coffee. My wife's birthday and the place look nice and so we thought we could spend a while there having a brunch and having a nice conversation.
As I mentioned we ordered several dishes but only ONE cup of coffee. My wife already had coffee in the morning and she didn't want to have another cup. But, this is where the golden rules of the restaurant was broken and the sky fell down.
We were told that we MUST order two cups of coffee! Because, the reason the girl gave us was, this place is a coffee place. So, regardless of how much per person we have ordered which was more than 500 per person, still has to be two coffees. ONE CUP PER PERSON!!!!
She said this is the rule and there is no way around it. So, we left! It looks like a very nice beautiful place but if this is the service of the front who knows what is happening in the kitchen.
If you plan to go to this place make sure everybody will drink a cup of coffee or don't bring them along!
I did not see anybody around or anybody approaching the front desk after this long and almost loud argument with them, so I don't know if there was a manager on call or the owner was there, or even maybe the girl was the manager.
