IG: foodie_foxx Red and grill and barbecue restaurant, excellent hospitality, great service, atmosphere really stands out, because it's opposite to the anping lake. Best place for authentic Taiwanese style sea food 😋. Book the balcony place, which is a great place to drink and smoke. Orders come at ur convenience, so no need to order everything at the same time.

Fried squid balls with peanuts and pepper sauce - really great started to kick off the dinner but chewy and soft. I could have the essence of the seasame oil on my tongue when I took each bite of the squid, properly sautéed with garlic, ginger, and black pepper.

Kung Pao chicken 🐔 - The classic dish in Sichuan cuisine purely marinated in lemon 🍋 and salt, really soft diced chicken with properly squared cut chilies. But disappointed 😥 because there were more chilies and less chicken.

Egg fried rice - usual rice with greens and cabbage.

Roasted soy sauce beef - the one bite meal, small chunks of beef slow cooked in soy sauce, and balsamic, has a touch of sweet and sour taste, the best dish I tasted there.

Squid in fried scallops and green onions- the scallops and green onions dominated the taste of the dish; it's a shame that the squid was so tender, but because of the domination, it made a strong sense of scallops ans green onions.

Poor service, rude, poor hygiene, and discrimination for tourists. In the beginning, I wrote down my complete meal order and they repeated it back to me, but they then created so much confusion afterwards that felt very intentional. Even though the menu is written in English, they also gave utmost priority to serving Mandarin speakers and locals. I tried very hard to translate and speak Mandarin, but they gave me the cold shoulder. Dismissive behavior on a Sunday evening that was not too busy. The salt & pepper octopus is phenomenal. The fried rice is next level. The sautéed vegetables are awesome. The menu is pretty extensive.

If you’re looking for food that is fresh and delicious, this is most definitely the best restaurant in Tainan. I have been visiting this place for 8 years and the quality is consistently brilliant.
