Wusheng Night Market is easily one of Tainan’s most bustling, energetic, and entertaining night markets—an absolute must-visit if you're in the city! Open only on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, it transforms into a lively hub packed with the sights, sounds, and aromas of Taiwanese street culture.
What sets Wusheng apart is its sheer size and variety. The food and drink options are endless—from sizzling skewers and deep-fried snacks to bubble tea, grilled seafood, traditional local delights, and creative fusion bites. Whether you’re a foodie on a mission or just looking to nibble your way through, there's something for everyone.
But it’s not just about food. The market is a vibrant mix of lifestyle and culture. You’ll find stalls offering fortune-telling services, home essentials, beauty products, accessories, and quirky knick-knacks. It’s the perfect place to pick up a little something unique while immersing yourself in the local vibe.
Adding to the fun, there's a whole section filled with classic night market games—think ring toss, balloon darts, fishing games, and more—plus a small funfair area that’s perfect for kids and families. The atmosphere is festive, friendly, and full of life.
Despite the crowds, the market feels well-organized and easy to navigate. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes, bring cash, and come hungry!

There are a few night markets in Tainan and I have time only for one. I am glad I choose this one, the oldest and the amazing with hundreds of stalls.
It is quite cool as it is not just about food but there are also games stalls etc. It is quite a huge area and spread far and out so it is not so packed. There are so many worth to try dishes and they are not too high in price as well.
For me it is the intestine sausages that stands out. The flavour is packful and it comes with vegetable and other accompanying ingredients that matches wonderfully.
The black pearl brown sugar tea is delicious too....
