I wouldn't say worst meal i ever had, but I wouldn't say good by any means. Is it cheaper than in the US? Yes. But the quality is way lower, pancakes are chewy, scrambled eggs tasted watered down, Eggs Benedict hard in middle, hollandaise sauce not special, English muffins not toasted, hashbrowns don't taste fresh, lots of stuff missing from menu, staff not the friendliness (only encountered one friendly staff), considered ordering French toast, but you can tell they only just use regular white bread, should be a stale sourdough, or something like that. Most ingredients aren't expensive, so you would think with a price tag of around 250NT or more, you would get quality, but just found lower quality. Saw someone eating pasta, and it was clearly the frozen chicken from Costco. More of a disappointment than anything. Just wish if people are going to sell "western" food, sell western food that is authentic or don't sell it at all. That requires right ingredients, seasoning properly, etc. I'd love to see this restaurant succeed and would love to go back, but I think I won't. Owner is welcome to reach out if they really want...
Read moreEnglish name of this place is "Rolling Egg." Looks like the place is ran by someone who lived in the United States long enough to get familiar with lots of traditional breakfast and lunch dishes, and the menu reflects this with a large selection of menu options. They tend to run out of ingredients for dishes here a lot, especially when coming in the afternoon on weekends. Although they have a large selection of menu items they only seem to be able to cook half of them fairly decently. Possibly the worst pancakes I've ever had; overcooked on the outside and raw on the inside. They seem to do okay with the egg dishes, french toast, and sandwiches. I can definitely do a better job cooking most this stuff at home myself, and the service is about average for Tainan I'd say. They have Mug Root Beer, which has proven difficult to find in Tainan. The bathrooms are kept...
Read moreQuite a brunch spot offering fairly authentic American diner style brunch. They offered omelets, breakfast combos, pancakes, and scrambled eggs. The service was quick but we were asked to sit at tables of two that were a bit uncomfortably close to each other. Considering COVID and personal space, it really was too close. Our request to sit at a different table was rejected without good reason. The food came out in a timely manner but the coffee was lukewarm when it arrived. Overall a good location but be aware that you may be asked to sit very close to strangers. Good luck having any sort of private...
