Ming Long Vegetarian Cuisine — Restaurant in Taitung City

Usually we like to try as many different vegan places as we can in a new city but this place was SO good we ate every meal here for 3 days. The food is just simply delicious. For breakfast we would get a wrap - they're all delicious so you can't go wrong with any but oh my gosh the black sticky rice is incredible! We would then take away a couple of wraps for our lunch and then for dinner we were spoiled for choice! The sesame noodles are particularly good, as are the dumplings and wonton soup. We loved the big serving of braised veggies which we were told by a lady at our table were sweet potato leaves. The people that work here are just so lovely, especially the manager Sarah who speaks great English and is so bubbly and friendly. We were even able to have a giggle with the ladies who only spoke Chinese when we attempted to place our orders. There aren't that many tables so often you will be sat with local people which is really nice. They also sell some of the ingredients that they cook with which is great if you want to attempt to cook some Taiwanese food back home. The food is superb and totally affordable, big portion too! We loved eating there! However, the reason for 1 missing star is that they use too much plastics even for people who dine in.. (for ALL the spring rolls and All small dishes although we eat there). The reason we are vegetarian is because we care about environment and would use plastics as little as possible! So please, perhaps improve on this, not for me or others who care, but for our Mother Earth that is suffering from Pollution and all kinds of human wastes…...
