A gem of a cafe where time stands still. We had the vanilla milk tea, the black sugar latte, and a slice of tiramisu. The tiramisu was a little closer to a cheesecake than a conventional tiramisu, but creamy, tender, and delicious.

The vanilla milk tea had the aroma of both vanilla and tea (rooibos, I think). It was the perfect balance of milk, tea, and sugar. There was also a thick head of milk foam on the top, which made it even more comforting on a wet morning.

The black sugar latte was a revelation. It came to the table, its quivering head of milk froth covered in a crisp layer of brulee'd brown sugar. The sugar crust tasted of grass and molasses, then gave way to the almost meringue-like layer of foam, and then to the smooth, earthy coffee. Utter genius.
