I did like the stall that sold me the Baked Potatoes and Yellow Yam with the melted Shredded Cheese. Yet, seriously, I couldn't believe there was more FoodPanda delivery persons around waiting to pick up food on behalf of their stay-at-home customers who use their app than all the passerby patrons combined late that night! This tells you how dead and "business-less" the places around there really has been. Worse of all, the biggest, real problem and surprise around this area is that visitors or tourists like me could HARDLY find a public restroom or even any convenient store with one in it at all. I had to keep walking very fast down so many blocks, passing almost a dozen street lights. Even so, it was still very far away (at least several kilometers of walking distance) from the night market's main street entrance just to find out the ONLY FamilyMart convenience store that does have a restroom upstairs verbally refused my plea of request to urgently use their bathroom by a night-shift shopkeeper. As disappointed as that had been for me, I literally continued further down onwards until I got to an 85-degrees Cafe a couple more blocks away did I FINALLY get the store clerk's permission and was able to relieve myself quickly, albeit their restroom was utterly unsanitary, stinky and smelly. Needless to say, these places around there was terribly and seriously bathroom UNFRIENDLY to the people's bladders that are about to bust right open! This was so insanely surreal that anyone visiting there can't even begin to think of where to find a decent public toilet or urinal when you just have to go badly! Definitely, I urge the Taoyuan Mayor or whoever it is in charge of this matter there to really make these things happen and quickly look into it. Local officials should supervise this and see to that the public restrooms are more welcoming, up to public sanitary standards as well as ensuring to put more of the W.C. available around in these places in the near future. Until this happens, I am not going there again. For now, this Taoyuan Night Market is absolutely a no-go for foodies, visitors, and tourists! How is anyone able to enjoy strolling along food stands and picking out the foods and drinks you like to have around in this kind of night market when such a basic inconvenient issue shouldn't even have to exist in the first place!
