DAVID DINER — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

Alllllllright you clams, guess who's back reviewing these cow's slabs for ya's. That's right it's your boy Flo, the master of chow time. (But y' all already know that) Today I'm here in Zhongli at David Diner. A nice little place hidden within the wild streets of this college town, where you will find young raging lovers and envious loners on every corner. But let's get back to the burgers. This cozy restaurant holds a top tier burger that will satisfy that craving you have that no fast food can cover. Today I had the opportunity to try their jalapeño cheese burger, which hit the spot perfectly. I was looking for a type of burger that had diner type of taste and I was lucky to nail it with this restaurant. Heck even the restaurant's name has the word 'diner' in it! So I guess thats what sold me to come here.

Ok, so now the burger review. The burger itself was juicy and thicker than ya sister. (Tell her I said hi) The buns were toasted to perfection, as if the sun itself had kissed them ever so softly. The jalapeños, not as spicy, but surely present, as it give this delectable burger a little kick. Overall it was a tasty burger. The waitresses was amazing too. (Didn't get her name.) But she was an absolute delight! Apart from speaking English, she was very sweet and funny. (I saw her do a little dance, yes! I saw you XD lol ). Good staff and service. I will definitely come back again. I also have to try their mexican food!! Hmmm...

Just enjoyed some rolled tacos and free refills on my cola on Taco Tuesday (special) at David's Diner in ChungYuan. Just 100m from the night market, near the police station. The owner is a great guy and a close personal friend. His restaurant is my favorite and his ribs are outrageously good! I can honestly say there isn't an item on the menu that I don't like. It's all great high quality food, made to order. It's fine dinning at a reasonable price. Great for friends and families. A good place to impress a date as well. If you haven't had Mexican food before, try the rolled tacos, double-decker tacos, fajitas, burritos or quesadillas. Make a reservation if you are going to come on a Friday or Saturday night. The food that we did get was pretty good and the restaurant is cute. Unfortunately I had a really poor customer service experience that was not handled well. They forgot to start my order (fajitas) and brought the other four diners in my group their meals without mine. After 1.5 HOURS of asking multiple times about my order, being promised it had been started, then being asked again what I had ordered, still no food. We then watched entire tables that had come in after us receive their food and we gave up. We paid for the meals we did get and said we would not be paying for mine and didn't want it anymore. They seemed offended and confused that I was cancelling my order that there was no evidence they were ever going to cook and didn't offer anything to make up for the terrible experience. Huge bummer.
