DEBBIE'S 黛彼美式餐點 — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

When I first came to Taiwan six years ago, Debbie's was the best there was in terms of "'American" cuisine in the area. I would have given ten stars for Debbie's back then.

To some extent, it still is your best option in Taoyuan. You can't find "American" food in this neighborhood unless you decide to go up to Taipei where you have a few more options like "the diner."

However, over the years, the portions at Debbie's have shrunk and the ingredients have changed. I understand how hard it is to maintain a truly "American" taste and keep the costs down, but these days, it seems that their lumberjack has gone on a carb-focused diet, because the pancakes increased in size, but the protein content of the plate became smaller. Their "root beer" is now a Taiwanese wannabe instead of the A&W they used to serve, and the nacho chips.. I think they make their own. Debbie's is a gem of a find for people looking for a Western-style breakfast which is, wait for it...served all day. The breakfast options are plentiful, The portions are good, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious. My daughter and I got the lumberjack breakfast, my husband got the French toast, and my teenage son got a cheeseburger. Everyone was pleased with the taste and amount.
