Jhu Jian Hot Pot- Nankang Zhongzheng branch — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

Bad service, very unfriendly and unprofessional. The food wasn’t very fresh, some of it tasted rancid

Edit: Yesterday wasn’t this first time I have been to this restaurant. I usually don’t leave bad review if some food taste rancid (not spoil), because it happen often in hotpot with bulk amounts if refrigerated and frozen food.

Yesterday we arrived at the restaurant at 2 pm~ half of the restaurant was empty because of the time of the day, we were escorted to a sit in the middle of the main hallway, on the area were most customers were sit, on one end the exit and counter on the other the kitchen. We are sit, on a table were our one year old baby can reach and touch two hotpot pots, we ask the waitress if we could be move to a safer location, he refuses claiming all table are booked (2pm….) I ask my wife to ask again, she go to the counter and ask, the waitress refuses again. Then a different waitress arrive and offer us to move to a different 2person table in which the baby will be only facing one hotpot and is not part of the main hallway. We move to the new location. We choose what we want to eat and when we want to order we are informed that we are not allowed to share a hotpot, that both fires need to be use. We try to explain that we only want the fire off, so the baby doesn’t touch it and burn and that we are willing to pay the price of two pots, for us is not about the money, they refuse “its policy”. Are you serious? It is policy to sit a one year old baby in a dangerous sit and forces us to put a boiling hotpot at his reach? Will you be responsible if...

I recently dined here and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends and family. The variety of ingredients was impressive, with fresh vegetables, quality meats, and flavorful broths that made for a delightful steamboat experience.

What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by our waitress, 小优. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she checked in frequently to make sure our meal was perfect.
