I had the pleasure of celebrating my wife's simple birthday at Inge's Hostess in Taipei Marriott Hotel, and it was a truly memorable experience. The staff's prompt and attentive responses to my queries were highly appreciated. They went above and beyond to make the day special, even arranging a surprise flower and cake, which added a delightful touch to the celebration.

Service is usually pretty bad in Taiwan and this place is no exception. We booked a large table in a booth facing the 101 but were instead offered a small table in the corner. We insisted on getting our original table. And the hostess reluctantly gave it to us. Her poor attitude and lack of training needs to be improved. The servers were also slow, and very unprofessional. It's ironic that they charge a 10% service fee when isn't any good service. I would rather 20% for good service. Taiwan should go on a tipping system like in North America.

This place gets 1 star for the good view. In fact, i would recommend dining somewhere else (food was average and very expensive) and then coming here for a drink out on the deck- has an amazing view of 101 and the city landscape on a clear night. Bar has a 500 nt...

The overall experience was a mix of highs and lows. The service was professional but lacked warmth — we didn’t feel particularly welcomed or attended to beyond the basics.

The biggest letdown was the Wagyu tartare. For something that’s usually a highlight at upscale places, this one was almost completely tasteless. It looked beautiful on the plate but had no real flavor, which was really disappointing.

On the bright side, the truffle fries were great — crispy, seasoned just right, and probably the most enjoyable bite of the night. The calamari gnocchi was also very good, flavorful and well-balanced.
