剛好Cucina義式料理 — Restaurant in Zhubei City

This is very much a restaurant for Taiwanese-style Italian food - is that a good thing or a bad thing? That’s really up to you. Let’s head straight to the heart of what I mean, the food. To be more specific the main courses: we ordered pesto shrimp with spaghetti and seafood risotto.

As others have said the ingredients were all very fresh and good quality especially the shrimp and the portions were generous. The taste of the pesto was kinda sweet, creamy and not really like pesto (missing that combination of basil and Parmesan cheese) . And the texture of the spaghetti was like very soft noodles. The risotto was ok, but the rice was again very soft.

We ordered a few starters to try: the quesadilla was good, the bread came with an odd sauce and was ok, the fish sticks -ok and the fries again nice enough. The salads were nice and fresh, quite heavy on the dressing. I liked my pumpkin soup, but it really needed a touch of pepper.

Actually, you know what would have really helped would be just salt and pepper on the table (and if we’re mixing cultures maybe Tabasco).

Two things stood out as being good - the fresh lemonade and the tiramisu (which was really well done and surprising authentic). Overall, the other desserts were both ok.

The decor is nice, cute and modern. The service was friendly, but the only odd thing was that stuff came out in threes for a table of four and we had to remind the server to get the fourth one of many items after the next three came out.

Personally, as a European - I wouldn’t go again, or recommend it as an example of Italian food (it’s the same feeling for me as many Taiwanese have about most the western-style Chinese food in Europe). But don’t let me put you off if you like very localized Italian food I think that this is a good example.

Btw if you are thinking of going do book - it’s fairly small and was busy

3大4小今日餐點如下： 🍴風味燒烤牛肉 第一次吃到烤的這麼好吃的牛肉 不會太軟或太硬 但有口感 附的醬配著吃超好吃 我喜歡 🍴香煎雞腿慢燉青蔬 雞腿配焗烤真香 雞腿很嫩 很適合配白飯 🍴牛油牛肝蕈菇緞帶麵 吃起來有松露的味道 緞帶麵吃起來也很有口感 好吃 🍴鮮蔬番茄緞帶麵 這很適合小朋友吃 蔬菜一塊一塊的 剛剛好 🍴奶油松阪豬燉飯 松班豬脆脆的 飯煮的剛剛好 外帶也不會軟爛 🍴紅酒牛肉燉飯 長輩最愛 牛肉燉的很嫩 入口即化
