Lilac Café — Restaurant in Arusha

This is a great little spot! The decor and art are very charming and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We had a French press and a cappuccino and both were great. They use locally sourced coffee beans and provisions. There is a nice food menu if you are hungry.

The indoor and outdoor seating areas are comfortable and the entryway courtyard is especially lovely with lush plants framing the area. The restrooms are also clean and well tended.

I went here a few times while working in Karatu. It's a really solid place. Good atmosphere, nice staff, and decent wifi (one of the only places with public wifi in Karatu). It's a good place to relax in town and they have plenty of seating and places to either hang out with friends or plug in and get some work done.
