SI BurgerS - FAST FOOD, GRILL & PIZZA — Restaurant in Unguja

Sadly need to update my review based on a lack of action from the owner. We like the place and food, and regularly order from Si Burger.

The burgers are always the best however the first let down started with the chips that come as part of the combo. More than 4 times now we have received chips that are old or fried in overused oil.

Since then we've been regular customers but Si Burher "company policy" has forced us more than once to cancel our single orders due to the fact they are under 25,000 shillings, which is their policy, to be fair. We have bodas so no worries.

But this last evening we've tried to order burgers for collection, close to their registratered and online closing hours.

This will be the third time we have tried to order in the time between 9:30-10pm and have been rejected, regardless of their hours, across all platforms, saying open until 10pm. First they start by asking if we need delivery and the restaurant saying they won't do it this late, then we said we'll collect, they decided to tell us they have cleaned the kitchen and the grill is off? At 9:45?

Vote to tell Si Burger to change their hours to the ACTUAL operating hours AND improve the chips, stop blaming the bodaboda you don't...

Si Burgers Zanzibar is a very nice surprise!!!! The burgers and all menu are very very delicious!!! It is a very nice choice if you want for once something different than local food but still want to keep a quality. Burgers looks exactly like on European promo photos and are very tasty from local ingredients. The hygiene standards are like in Europe. Everything is clean and the staff cleans everything immediately after every customer. On every table are hand sanitizers. You can see the whole process of making food. The restaurant is run by Italian and the cooks are usually young locals. They do also a delivery, you can order via WhatsApp. It is great because the restaurant is quite far if you don’t have a car. I was reluctant to try this place initially given it is a fast food diner, but we decided to give it a go since we’d been pretty disappointed with most of our dining experiences in Zanzibar — and I’m so glad we did! I’m quite fussy about meat (I’m Irish!), but we had burgers every time and the quality here was just exceptional. It was so great that we ended up coming back 4 or 5 times during our two-week stay!
