The food and setting are out of this world, this is a perfect place to enjoy a fresh, leisurely meal in a beautiful location! The restaurant is situated right on the beach, and this is easily one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. The colors are stunning, the water is warm and calm, the sand is perfect. You can walk (or swim out) quite far with no problems and then return for a delicious meal. I had the fried calimari, which was simple and so, so flavorful, one of the best I’ve had! My partner had the octopus curry with rice, and it was also delicious. The staff are kind and professional, and you can tell this place is well-run. The restaurant is attached to the Malcolm Residence Cottage which has 3 very nice accommodations with hot tub and swimming pool (we didn't stay there on this trip, but we toured the place and will definitely be back). Walked to this restaurant, was quiet and very friendly. Service did take a little bit of time, but it was all very lovely food and home cooked, you can tell it was made to order. It’s a lovely little restaurant with tables right on the beach. We spend a lovely evening and enjoyed the most delicious vegetable curry we had during our stay in Zanzibar! Since I am vegetarian they offered to prepare it for me even though it was not on the menu. The owner and staff are really lovely and even organized a taxi for our way back home.
