101 Sports Bar is one of those places which are getting harder and harder to find: laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food freshly prepared by a cook who knows his business, a selection of locals and foreigners who appreciate a cool drink and a good talk.

During the weekends there is often live music, the sound system is properly setup so that you can enjoy the music without having to have your ears checked the next morning.

The place is run by 2 French men and their other halves, there is little or no change in staff which means they are doing something good (and lets be honoust, the French know a few things about food, drinks, atmosphere and hospitality!).

Apart from local spirits and beers, there is a selection of wines and import beverages at a reasonable price.

In the evening the pool matches are a great experience to join or to witness from a distance with drinks and food, a few of the locals (more women than men) can be very fanatic when it comes to a large pool match at this bar.

Maybe I picked the wrong night but it was very quiet for a Friday night and at 8 pm no live music. The Singha beer tap seemed a bit off (my opinion) but prices were medium to high. Had the Beef Burger with all the extras (absolutely awesome) but the chips were less than average. Great friendly service and good amenities (however the bar stools were as hard as a rock). Overall had a good time and maybe next time I'll be lucky enough to catch the live music. Overall it's ok so recommended. This is one of the best bars in Bangkok. The live music is awesome, and they have a bunch of great musicians. There's even one ฝรั่ง that sometimes plays. The food is awesome, and they have pretty much everything on the menu. It's one of the chillest, most relaxed bars in Bangkok. And definitely the chillest that also has a pool table. The tables are spaced out a lot, so it's super comfortable, and not overly cramped like a lot of Thai bars. Also, every time I've been there, at least a couple people have introduced themselves to me...so it's also one of the friendliest...
