I’ve been chasing premium Japanese bites across Asia, and today, I stumbled upon a surprise that instantly made it to my must-return list. Here’s what I had at SUSHI SEKI – Mega Bangna, and trust me, it’s not your everyday sushi stop.

🥗 CRYSTAL ICE PLANT SALAD I never imagined I’d find my beloved “ice plant ( leaf)” salad—usually reserved for my go-to seafood joint in Singapore—right here in Bangkok. The crispness, the glistening texture, and that refreshing, umami-packed dressing… absolutely chef’s kiss. A rare find in Thailand. And now? No need to fly just to get this fix.

🍣 OVER & OVERLOAD SALMON SUSHI SET Massive cuts. Bold presentation. SEKI lives up to its reputation for going all out with portions. Although the salmon didn’t wow me today in terms of flavor depth, the visual appeal and size will surely please those who go for that ‘value & volume’ thrill.

🟥 TENNEN AKAMI SASHIMI 10 slices served. While I respect the intention, the execution felt slightly off today—texturally soft, and the flavor didn’t punch through as expected. Thickness was a bit shy too. Still, if they dial in the freshness, this could be a highlight.

During my visit to Seki, I was coping with an ACL injury and was awaiting surgery, which made mobility a significant challenge. Despite these circumstances, the staff at Seki were incredibly accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure that I had a table that was accessible and comfortable for me.

But the hospitality was just the beginning. The food at Seki deserves every bit of praise. Each dish was a testament to freshness and quality, with flavors that were both authentic and exquisitely crafted. The attention to detail in the presentation and the taste left a lasting impression.

In times when convenience could easily take precedence, Seki stands out for its commitment to both service and culinary excellence. A heartfelt thank you to the staff for making my visit not just manageable, but truly enjoyable. Seki is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience that cherishes every guest, making it a must-visit destination.

We sat down at 1100 lt Try to order but no staff, apparently someone came to take order but assumed something wrong with ipad so she wrote down the menu in piece of paper. Finished ordering since 1115 lt

Staff were obsessed of having us to joined the member i had to tell her ‘could you give us the drink first ?’ So she fetched us some drink.

Food came at 1150lt while other table who came after us already finished some of their food.

The quality of food was as good as the review but i dont know something wrong with our table we order only 2 dished because we need to go somewhere else.
