I'd been here once or twice before as I was it on the Lonely Planet. It's still very good. The service was fairly swift. The lighting is a little dim inside but they do use efficient bulbs which is nice. I's just like to see a couple more as the interior is dark brown. You can sit inside or outside but the outside seems more for smokers. There is free wifi. Ok onto the food. The prices for western food seemed a little high but as I said it was hard to read the menu in the dim lighting. I ordered the Khao Soi for 60 Baht and a large Chang for 80 Baht ( be aware the price of all alcohol will go up by at least 25% soon). The Kaho Soi didn't dissapoint. it was as good as most of the best KS's I've had...
Read moreHigh prices for the food. The atmosphere was dark and the building seemed very run down. My server got my order wrong, urging that it was my fault. My pad thai noodles were not fresh, and seemed as though they had been sitting out all day because they were hard to chew. The portions on our plates were very small for the prices we paid (80 baht for mango sticky rice, 60 baht for pad thai -70 for chicken, and 70 baht for sweet and sour chicken that was mostly vegetables...). We will never come back to this place and were very disappointed.

Read moreThis is not what I expected at all. The restaurant is now called Tee Hua Pla Mor Fai, some Chinese restaurant. I guess the former owner of Bierstube sold his business to them, as per someone's review here they were going to close down. They still have a "German" (western food) menu, but only the easy to cook items like pork chop remained. Not at all what I'd expect to find under the name Bierstube. I think they should...
