Blue Coffee At Mae Hia — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Nestled at the side of a fairly forgettable road is unforgettable Blue Coffee. You arrive to a minimalist, clean, peaceful interior which is a stark contrast to the busy road ahead.

The staff are polite, helpful and attentive. The coffee was expertly put together, and there's a large range of options across hot and cold options. The beans and brew methods are seriously good.

I also tried two items of food. The ham and cheese toastie, which came on pillow soft thick bread soaked in butter, herbs and both melted cheese and grated hard cheese on top. It tasted incredible. I used to be a chef years ago and made my fair share of cheese toasties, both normal and gormand. This exceeded them.

The shop is small but open and bright. The service is very good and everyone is friendly and helpful.

Their Berries Blend coffee is some of my favorite coffee they offer. I have served it at home with a press and plunger and have several rave at the taste. It is a fruity flavor and not very acidic.

The work areas are good with decent WiFi as well. They have small and large tables. It is normally a quiet and cool temperature to work at.

They have the usual coffee drinks plus some special drinks. I did enjoy their Orange Coffee. Mix of orange juice and espresso. It was mixed well and had a nice flavor.

Absolutely blown away by this gem of a café! After spending days in Chiang Mai, this was the only spot we didn’t plan to visit—we just stumbled upon it while doing laundry nearby and decided to grab a drink on a whim.
