This is my favorite restaurant in Chiang Mai. This place is good for kids and family. The atmosphere is very nice. There are few indoor tables and mostly are outdoor with shade so it's ok if it rains. The food taste authentic. We ordered garlic bread, baked spinach with cheese, homemade sausage, salmon steak, pizza, squid ink pasta with seafood, rose lemonade, and Thai tea. First of all, the drinks here taste better than drinks from cafe. Homemade garlic bread served warm and it's very good. Baked spinach with cheese is the best that I have tried in Thailand so far. Sausage is ok. Squid ink pasta is very tasty with lots of seafood per serving. The pizza portion is for 3-4 people and it's very good. ENGLISH Mr. Chan is a "Swedish-German co-production" with an appealing ambience.
The chef Mr. Chang is a very nice and accomplished restaurateur and has been running this restaurant for well over ten years.
The menu is interesting and well laid out...especially the fresh shakes are recommended.
The Cesar salad was very tasty, a little more parmesan and it would have been top notch.
The ribeye was of excellent quality and came from Australia - unfortunately from the electric grill / pan - had it come from the charcoal grill or gas grill it would certainly have been a "jag" better.
The pepper sauce served with it made it clear that the chef knows his craft - the trace of tarragon made the sauce particularly tasty.
Very clear recommendation for this restaurant.
Update (02.01.2019): Today we had a super delicious Tuna Salad here - I think you can say that the salads are top.
The spaghetti bolognese was a dream!
A failure was unfortunately the extra crispy ordered pepperoni pizza - first came one with pineapple (noGo) and in the second attempt was the pepperoni a mixture of Mettwurst and salami on a slimy pizza ... You can surely do better, right?

DEUTSCH Mr. Chan ist eine "schwedisch-deutsche Co-Produktion" mit ansprechendem Ambiente.
Der Chef Mr. Chang ist ein sehr netter und versierter Gastronom und betreibt dieses Restaurant bereits weit mehr als zehn Jahre.
Die Karte ist interessant und übersichtlich...besonders die frischen Shakes sind zu empfehlen.
Der Cesar-Salat war sehr lecker, noch etwas mehr Parmesan und er wäre top gewesen.
Das Ribeye war von hervorragender Qualität und kam aus Australien - leider vom Elektrogrill / der Pfanne - wäre es vom Holzkohlengrill oder Gasgrill gekommen wäre es sicher noch einen "Zacken" besser geworden.
Die dazu gereicht Pfeffersauce machte dann auch klar das der Chef sein Handwerk versteht - die Spur Estragon machte die Sauce ganz besonders lecker.
Ganz klare Empfehlung für dieses Restaurant.
Update (02.01.2019): Heute haben wir hier einen super leckeren Tuna Salad gehabt - ich denke man kann behaupten das die Salate Spitze sind.

Ein Reinfall war leider die extra kross geordert Peperoni Pizza - erst kam eine mit Ananas (bäh) und im zweiten Versuch war die Peperoni eine Mischung aus Mettwurst und Salami auf einer labberigen Pizza...Das könnt ihr doch sicher besser, oder?

very nice and palatable selection of dishes, well prepared and served. The salmon dish is highly recommended. Passion fruit with orange shake, what a perfect mix ... mouthwatering! Mixed salad, perfect! This dish deserves mentioning with a simple, but perfectly blended Balsamico sauce on top of a nice variety of selected greens and many other raw vegetables, I couldn't do that better in my dreams! The service is very attentive, speaks English and understands what you desire. However, the pizza, we ordered, took too long till it got served. It was delicious, though.
