Steakmeetlove — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I took some time to write this review.

The food: Ok, I have to be fair. The food was on the “Ok” standard for everyone. But to me, the steak was… weird. It felt like it was inflated with juice and once chewed it flattens to a grainy/fiber texture. The fat/tendon on the piece (which came off like glue was dissolved) was impossible to cut, even with the provided knife. Don’t get me wrong… still… had some flavor. Maybe it was just a different way to cook a steak im not familiar with.

Atmosphere: I did not like the locale for a family of 4. It’s too small (our table at least) - There was no other suggestion and I did not complain, but there was no other place to sit at the time. Overall atmosphere fell crowded, regardless of the distance from one another. I used EarPods to block both the noise and the background music. The good thing about the atmosphere is that despite of my own taste, it looked like something out of fantasy book perhaps.

The service: The service was standard. Nothing out of the ordinary here. At the end they give you some cool down jelly to enjoy...

Great fusion food (Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Western). The shop specializes in meat and in that aspect, they do not disappoint.

For Western food, the shop offers a variety of steaks from New Zealand ribeye to mixed grilled sausages.

On the Asian side, there are the rice bowl menus, which is rice served with the meat of your choice.

Recommendations: The mixed grilled sausage is a seal. The rice bowl menus are tasty. Kimchi soup is also good (leans towards the sweet side)

Concerns: The food is freshly made, therefore the waiting time is quite considerable. You have to be a little patient. The price starts from 220 THB and goes up to 640 THB. A little pricy but in my opinion, it is worth the money. Seats are quite limited. It is a small shop There is no dessert. They give you free small jello but some proper dessert would really up the satisfaction level.

I came across this restaurant. You might not like the place because of small space and uncomfortable seat. Plus it is outdoor restaurant so you have to fight with mosquitoes and smoke/ heat especially when you sit right in front of hot plate. However you will like the food.

Chef does not give you a menu. When i asked him to get a menu, he said he doesnt have one and i have three choices, beef, chicken, and pork. He doesnt serve drinks too so bring beer, soda or whatever you want to drink from other place. It is a local restaurant so everyone seems to know the rule except me.

I ordered pork and it was great. The pork was very soft and well marinated. And it is only 99baht. It definately worth it. There was a couple next to me who ordered chicken and beef each and they praised the chef for their steak too. I will revisit the place and try either beef or...
