The two starts are for the garden and for the service as the staff was very friendly and helpful; however the food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the croissant trio, which has 3 different small croissants. The ham was completely dry and stiff almost like a piece of cardboard and clearly quite old. The smoked salmon had a strange dull color and looked suspicious so I just tasted a tiny piece and it both smelled and tasted off and it was obviously not fresh. I sent the food back back and the staff apologized and didn't charge for it (obviously), but this should have never been served in the first place. As many have written before, the food was well below par but the service staff excellent and attentive. Dishes to our table of four failed arrive at the same time, with a 15 minute gap between the first order arriving and the last. My dish was cold and unappetising and other tables of presumably regular guests were served in preference. Drinks, and coffee on the other hand were good, some with interesting quirky presentation. I would expect an establishment of this calibre to have linen instead of plastic tablecloths or paper napkins but here they were.
