Lovely cafe and restaurant. The atmosphere is tranquil and serene with an interesting rustic garden style decor. There's several areas to sit both indoors and outdoors. Upon entering you'll see the cafe first and then escorted to the restaurant if needed. The entire place has interesting art paintings, some sculptures and various purposely placed seating areas for photos. I tried their fern salad, and I highly recommend it. The flavours are tangy, sweet, sour, spicy, salty and crunchy. It was one of the best salads I've had in a long time. It is vegetarian, too. I then ordered a take away, of their spicy pork rib stew/curry with mushrooms. Unfortunately this was rather disappointing. The the broth was very soupy rather than thick of the ripical thai curries. The flavour just wasn't there for the description. The meat was covered in muscle skin. For the price 250B without rice, it wasn't what I expected. Do note prices are not cheap both for drinks and food. Service was pleasant but not stood out.
This place is located in a rather hidden area, and would be challenging to find unless following GPS. Nothing else is around it. I visited at the start of rainy season. As such there were lots of mosquitoes, so seating outdoors was a no go, mosquitoes were inside as well. Do come with repellent. I can see how during a drier time of the year, this place is enchanting and charming, making it ideal for a photo shoot event or a special gathering of family and friends.
I would come back likely during dry season as I could see myself spending a couple of hours having tea and doodling, reading or simply enjoying the enchantment...
Read moreThe road to the restaurant is not good so if you want to go there, you should not use a small car. The atmosphere is nice but not good if it rains due to the limited indoor seat available. Also, beware of the mosquitoes when you sit outdoor. This place is good for kids and pets. As for food, we order lychee tea, Thai tea, and rose lemonade for the drinks and they are quite good. Fries tofu is not bad and the portion is big. However, thai style salad, seafood spaghetti, and salmon steak portions are way to small for the price that they charged (300 ฿ per dish for salmon and seafood). We pay 1,415฿ for 3 persons and after all we eat there, we have to go to another place because we are still hungry. In conclusion, if you want to hangout and relax at a cozy place with your friends and pets, this is a good place for you. But if you want to eat a good food with reasonable price, this is not a place for you. I better go to Mr. Chan and Miss Pauline for a good food with...
Read moreQuite a charming locale for breakfast and it was also just a few minutes’ walk from our hotel. The grounds are quite sprawling and there are different parts and buildings that showcase local plants and airplants as well as the making of local produce like honey and jams.
There is also an area that can be used for a wedding reception. There is a rustic feel and charm, though not all parts are very old. There are also furnishings and furniture left by the owner, which coupled with the chandeliers dotted about, lend the feel of an Italian villa. I especially loved the metal staircase in the hall.
The food was okay, though not outstanding. The eggs and sausages were done well, and we liked the toasts etc. There was some confusion over whether the coffees were on,y Americanos, or included milk. The tofu...
