Ban Suan shrimp farm — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

It was my second visit, and I don't think I will return this place again.

My first visit was on August last year with my family. As I had a great memory with my family, I visited here again yesterday. The place was pretty much the same as before - same food quality and service. However, I found that it was specifically difficult to make an order in english for my second visit. Interestingly, my first visit was really smooth.

Due to lack of information, we felt that we ordered more than what we needed for this time - you can either get 1kg shrimp, which can be cooked into 3 dishes (beyond your payment for 1kg, you will get charged 50 baht for each dish) or order individual dishes. As it was only for two of us for this time, it was better to get individual dishes rather than getting 1kg of shrimp. It would have been so much better to have an english menu or explanation on how to order for new visitors.

Considering the experience and average food, I don't think it is worth...

Another famous restaurant in Chiang Rai. Plenty of parking. Good atmosphere by a lotus pond. But there were a lot of mosquitoes. There was no mosquito repellent so we swatted mosquitoes while eating. The food was quite slow to arrive because there were a lot of customers. The staff didn't really serve us. It was hard to call and follow up on the food. They really need to improve their service. If you’re expecting a high quality food and service, look else where. We ordered three dishes and they came in with longer than 20 minutes intervals each. We also found a couple of shrimps were not fully cooked and told the waitress. She just said sorry and walked away. Price also went up. Regular size shrimp is 450 baht per kg.
